Much of this equipment moves on charter vessels and EBI have excellent connections with many shipowners around the world to make this happen. We also handle oversize cargo that is shipped on flatracks but is too small for charter ships.
We have shipped cargo that weighs from 30mts - 1,000mts a piece. All oversize cargo requries special handling by experts in the project cargo logistics market. There are lifting points, centre of gravity issues and lashing requirements that require alot of detail.
There are restrictions on a ship where to stow the cargo. This is referred to as 1,000kg/m2.
We can ship oil rigs and supply platforms on semi sumbersible ships. They are ships that sink down below the water and then you load the oil rig or supply platform onto it and then it raises itself above the water again.
EBI ship dangerous goods and explosives being Class 1 IMO cargo and have a large database of ships and close relationships with shipowners around the world that can carry these. The ship has to be Class 1 IMO fitted with a document of compliance.
So for your project and oversize cargo movements entrust it to EBI for first class movement.
